Zara Ouzounian-Halpin is an Armenian-British cultural producer recognized for her contributions to international cultural events, including art fairs, exhibitions, publications, and conferences. She co-founded and directs the Armenia Art Fair, an annual event in Yerevan that connects Armenian artists with the global art scene and promotes Armenia as an emerging center for contemporary art. She is also the co-publisher of A Pathway Through Modern & Contemporary Armenian Art and founded the online art journal Art and the Market: Caucasus and Beyond, which features exclusive interviews and articles on art from the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
Her experience spans leadership in cultural initiatives, curatorship, creative solutions, and international project management, bringing a strong interdisciplinary perspective to her work. Zara has organized fundraising events and international exhibitions, including shows at Moscow’s Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art and the European Union Delegation in Russia. Her role has also included managing content and community engagement in start-ups, and she has played a pivotal role in international trade and exhibition projects in sectors like oil and gas. Fluent in Armenian, Russian, and English, with a basic knowledge of Georgian, Zara’s extensive background in the arts and diplomacy uniquely positions her in promoting and elevating Armenian art on a global scale.
